Ugh...just got finished with an hour long conversation with my mother about me quitting my job and how I AM NOT A FAILURE if I leave. In the end she recommended that I look up the definition to failure and see if it fits my definition.

In other news, I went and got myself sick again. The worst part was the fact that I had to be the emcee at a church retreat for more than ten hours today. I started off strong but by the end you could tell that I was suffering a head cold. My priest took one look at me and ask, "What happened to your nose?" XD It was pretty bad.

I just found a graduate program for Environmental Education right where I live! I called and asked questions and found out that they don't have a whole lot of requirements (they don't even ask for a GRE score). I actually have a chance of making it in~

I'm so excited that I can't even hold it in (I danced all around the house)! This is exactly what I was looking for!


And since no one will answer their phones to hear my AWESOME news, my f-list will be the first to hear it!

As some of you know I'm participating in mission101, where I'm attempting to complete 101 goals in 1001 days. One of my goals is to watch 100 movies. But I just don't want to make them any ole movie that I see. I want to broaden my movie viewing spectrum so I have several categories under this goal.

In 994 days (because I started a week ago) I want to see at least:

• 15 Foreign Films
• 20 Independent Films
• 10 Films Shot Before 1980
• 55 Other Films that don't fall under these categories

I really don't want to rely too much on these top 10/2-/50 or 100 list because I might miss something. I can think of plenty of movies that I love that don't even come close to making it on these other list. So I want to know some of your personal favorites or recommendations.
I don't care too much about the genre although I really to stay away from horror.

This is by far the longest KHR fic that I have written. Shoutout to snapdraw_gone  for betaing this for me and putting up with my crazy writing.

I've seen a couple of people creating list of things that they want to accomplish and it really inspired me to do my own. So when I discovered mission101 , I was really excited and created my own list of 101 things to do in 1001 days.

I'm notorious for not finishing things so I hope I'm able to keep this up!

My overall goals for doing this are to:

• Find my self appreciation
• Gain back my confidence

HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR!!!

 

These past three weeks have been so busy for me, which is why I haven’t posted much!

 

This holiday season, instead of spending it by myself or with my parents and brother, I decided to go back to New Jersey and visit my close friends. It was an amazing trip that was a great way to end the year and celebrate the opening to a new one. I’ll be doing a couple of separate post on one or two of the adventures I had with pictures included!
 

However, what I would really like to do is thank everyone who wished me Happy Holidays! A special thanks goes to Imadra_Blue, whom I received a card from.

All the well wishes were very much appreciated especially because this time one year ago, my holidays were anything but happy. Let’s just say that I spent New Years all by myself in a cold room with nothing but a bamboo plant to celebrate with.

 

2009 was a crazy year. It was my first real year out of school and truthfully it was really rough. I finished two internships and went in a job that I am not happy with. I moved to a new location where I had no friends and nothing but my immediate family. I had no money and no real desire to do anything. Truthfully, it just sucked.

 

But as rough as the year was, it had its blessings! I was able to get in touch with my faith late in the year and finally able to make a couple of new friends.

 

This was also the year that I returned to LJ and started to write fanfic and draw fanart again. I was also able to make so many friends and join so many fun communities! It really helped me reconnect with myself.

 

2010 will be better for sure!

P.S. I know I've made several new friends from several different memes! I welcome all of you and I hope we become good friends!

- I've been sick for the past week and its not getting any better. I might have to go to the doctor but I don't have any insurance, so that's a big chunk out of my savings.

Truthfully, the only thing I'm happy about today is:

- Watching FMA episode 34, only because it had lots of Olivier and Miles (I like them as individuals and not a ship_.
- Watching a movie with so many religious undertones that it could support Fat Albert and a ton of cake.

That's it in all honesty. Most of my day sucked considering that I:

- Got a ticket for driving and talking on the phone (to my Dad, none the less. Although I was touched because my Dad felt really guilty about it. He was the one who called me)
- Have literally $3 left in my checking
- Sat through 3 hours of stupid meetings~
- Feel completely incompetent at my job (at this point I need to find a new job. Period.)
- And a whole lot of self loathing thrown into there somewhere.

So yeah. I'll say that I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. It's my long day at work.

Today was my first day of work after a nine day vacation (I got a whole week off because my students were off from school). Lately, I've been dreading going back to work, however~
